If you are finding that a file will not delete from the server, even after you attempted to delete the file using your FTP program, it may be that the permissions will not let you delete the file. Some scripts set the user and/or permissions for script use only, thus making it impossible for you to change the file or directory permission or delete it.

If you find this is the case, try going back into the script program you used and deleting it from there. If the script does not have a way for you to access and edit, change or remove the files, then contact us at support@activewebhosting.com and we will delete the file for you. Please tell us your domain name, whether the file is on your CGI server or FTP (Web) server, and the full path and filename of the file you wish to delete (for example, a typical path may look something like this:
